Im Patti, SpunnDitzy, I grew up in Everett, a great little town north of Seattle in a very large family of 6. I was the baby. Mom was an avid recycler, crocheter, artist in her own right-had she had the time. We would purchase second hand afagans and such to gleen the yarn...I remember sitting on the davenport watching t.v. and frogging, and frogging, and frogging, so mom would have nice yarn. Then she'd make the yarn into an afagan for one of us, or a present, always with lots of fringe.

Now, I'm the crazy wacky mom on the block, a ADHD fiber artist, and also an avid recycler, who LOVES fiber, and all things fiber related... oh and beads...if I can mix the two Im even happier. I love texture, and color, and am a little eccentric in my ways.  I have a hard time staying still and always need to be doing something creative or I get a little weirded out.
My DH has built me a fabulous studio in our garage to house my habit.
I love to recycle anything, frogging nice wool sweaters for the yarn(hmm wonder were I learned that) that is then either spun into a new creation, dyed some fabulous new colors, or knit into something fun. I try to use only local sheep fleece, buying from the farmers at local events and fairs. The greener I stay the better. I clean the fleece at home or send it to a wonderful lady in our guild who runs a fiber processesing business in her barn. I LOVE to use my drum carder to create fabulous batts which I can then spin into yards and yards of lovely yarns.
I've been crocheting since I was 10 (dang that makes it a good 30 years), knitting for about 10 years, and spinning the last 3.  I also enjoy making candles (another gleeners craft I learned at my mothers side), soap making, wine making, and outdoor gatherings wheather they be a farmers market or an impromptu hiking trip in the magestic Cascade mountains.
