My name is Jodie Henry and my Etsy shop is http://jhenrydesigns.etsy.com. I create soldered jewelry (and other sorts) and am having a blast. I am a graphic designer by trade and have been for almost 15 years. After being laid off in Jan 09 (4th time in 10 years) I've decided to go the freelance route...and also start doing what I LOVE! So I make jewelry with birds, butterflies...and um...scooters.

My other motivational factor of working from home is that I get the hang out with my little chihuahua/terrier mix, whom I adopted from a rescue in Aug 07. Willa is one my life's little treasures and you can see pics of her on my FB.

I love etsyrain because I get to get out from in front of my computer/worktable and come out to events. I started my etsy store in Oct 09, but "launched" at the end of January. Most of my biz has come from custom orders through FB and word of mouth so far. So technically, I'm launching 2 businesses: Etsy and freelance GD. I'll let you know how it goes! So far, it's keeping me pretty busy.

What's next? Spring and Summer craft shows? Creating fine jewelry? Being able to live off doing what I love? Oprah? ...you never know! *wink*
